At EdSights, you will be working on new technologies that drive large-scale social impact. You will be joining a small, but growing team and be part of an exciting stage of a technology startup. About the Role

As a Senior Partnerships Director, you should be a gritty, entrepreneurial, and intellectually curious person with deep industry knowledge. You will take ownership of the entire sales process - from prospecting to negotiating and closing new business with colleges and universities. We believe that the best salespeople bring in a big portion of their own business, so while we have a Marketing and BDR team to support you, we still expect you to do your own outreach. 


You will be a thought leader and educate prospective college partners on EdSights and its value while having a strong understanding of the industry, its challenges, and institutions' unique goals, gaps, and decision-making criteria.


You will play a key role in the company's future and you'll get to do this while making an impact. Earnings are uncapped and clear.

What You'll Do

  • Work with Business Development Representatives to target, map, and develop prospecting strategies to drive new business opportunities

  • Tweak, develop, and strategize with marketing on what messaging and positioning is working best in prospecting efforts

  • Come up with your own creative strategies (e.g. drip campaigns) to build new relationships with prospects

  • Understand Institution's unique challenges, goals, gaps, and decision-making criteria

  • Showcase the EdSights value and platform through product demonstrations

  • Be a thought leader with industry knowledge who is able to provide perspective on the value EdSights provides

  • Nourish relationships with prospective partners and move them through the sales pipeline

  • Negotiate and close new business

  • Assist your peers in developing their skills in alignment with our strategic sales strategy and playbook 

What You Should Have

  • 5+ years of sales experience in B2B sales (higher education preferred)

  • Deep knowledge of the Higher Education industry 

  • Proven track record of success in previous sales roles, consistently hitting or exceeding quota

  • Desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to craft valuable and compelling stories that offer unique perspectives to your prospects

  • Consistency - you stay motivated through ups and downs and do not get discouraged easily

  • Positive, open, and high energy approach to growth and learning

  • Excellent time management, organizational skills

  • Impeccable "follow-through"
